South Centre enters into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia on collaboration in International Taxation

On 4 May ’23, the South Centre signed a momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Malaysian Tax Academy (MTA), Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM), on collaboration in international taxation. The signing ceremony, held in Geneva, was led by Dr. Carlos María Correa, Executive Director of the South Centre, and Datuk Dr. Mohd Nizom Sairi, Chief Executive Officer/Director General of Inland Revenue (IRBM), with the participation of Her Excellency Rina Hanis Rodzli, Deputy Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the UN in Geneva, Abdul Muheet Chowdhary, Senior Programme Officer, South Centre Tax Initiative (SCTI), Yuefen Li, Senior Advisor on South-South Cooperation and Development Finance of the South Centre, and officials of MTA.
