Study Launch – The United Nations and OECD Subject To Tax Rule: Country Level Revenue Estimates for G-24 and South Centre Member States

23 July 2025, Virtual Public Event

Event details

Official launch of two important studies jointly produced by the Intergovernmental Group of Twenty-Four (G-24) and the South Centre assessing the revenue estimates of the UN and OECD Subject to Tax Rule (STTR) for each of the 65 combined member countries of the G-24 and the South Centre.

The public launch will take place virtually on 23 July 2025 from 1500 to 1630 CET.

These studies provide the first ever country-level revenue estimates comparing the UN and OECD STTR. The findings will help our combined Member States evaluate their options and take informed, evidence-based decisions on which version to adopt in their tax treaties. The two studies being launched are titled: “Comparison of tax revenue effects of United Nations and OECD Subject to Tax Rule” and “Analyzing the impact of Subject to Tax Rule”.

This information will be instrumental in addressing challenges related to double non-taxation and will enhance our collective bargaining power.
